Happy Black Friday! Today I am sharing some of my picks from browsing the Black Friday sales for you from some of my favorite retailers. I didn’t include a ton, as sometimes it’s easy to get overwhelmed. But I picked my top go to retailers when I’m shopping for the favorite ladies in my life. Happy Shopping!

I’m wearing Madewell boots in this post (old ones from 5 years ago). I absolutely love their pieces because they last forever. They are a little on the pricey side, but all the clothing, shoes and bags I have had for 5+ years. They don’t go out of style and they truly last wash after wash. I have picked some of my favs ranging from $22-$200.

Basic Black Blazer

Cold November is upon us here in Minnesota. This past week we saw our first snow. I will say growing up in Nebraska the first snow is always the prettiest. Everything is kissed with white and it gets me all excited for the holidays. They are coming so fast it’s like they are on a bullet train. As for a little life update, we are still currently living in the Minneapolis area and don’t know where the hubby’s job will take us just yet. We have some ideas but they always seem to change so, for now, my guess is as good as yours.

Now on to the good stuff! I’m a big fan of classic pieces that you can have in your closet forever. Now more than ever it’s nice to have a basic black blazer to throw on over my usual jeans and a tee to feel more polished. As a stay at home mom sometimes my big adventure out of the house is a run to target or if I’m lucky dinner with Esai or my girlfriends. This outfit is a total no-brainer, which comes in super handy when you just don’t have the time or brain power to waste getting dressed. Spice it up with a lace bodysuit underneath or dress it down with a graphic tee. The possibilities are endless. I love a boyfriend fit like this one!

Burgundy

We have been here in Minnesota for around a week and a half already. The time is flying! The temps have been dropping, so I have been excited to wear my heavier coats. I know I won’t be saying that come March, but living in the Bay Area for 3 years with moderate weather year round, it’s now fun to have some kind of changing seasons again. I love these cooler fall temperatures because you can throw on a beautiful fall statement coat and it instantly takes that boring outfit up a notch.

Burgundy has always been one of my favorite colors. Heck, it was the main color in my wedding, if that tells you anything. It is just a timeless romantic color that I feel you can wear every year. It also looks great with any skin tone. This burgundy statement coat is the perfect length to wear with a dressier outfit or with what seems to be my usual uniform, jeans & a sweater. No matter the length statement coats are a great way to look amazing this fall season.

Red Flannel

October cooler temps are in full swing! We just moved back to the Midwest, Minnesota to be exact. On our way, we passed through beautiful Missoula, Montana. The temps were cooler but the sun was shining brightly. I broke out my favorite red flannel while enjoying the view of the mountains all around us. To me, flannel is a fall staple. It’s so cozy and warm. Flannel is more versatile than you think. You can dress it up with some slacks and heeled boots, layer it under a blazer or down with your favorite jeans. I wore mine as a weekend casual look and it was the perfect way to keep me warm with the crisp air blowing.
